Objectives

To deliver a refreshing experience to freshies.

To build lasting friendship and bonds.

To showcase our spectacular float, put up a dazzling dance performance and wow our audiences on RAG day.

Highlights of Events

Rag day is the only event in the NUS calendar where the entire NUS community comes together in a grand celebration and stylish party. It is also a chance for freshies to experience a different and exciting form of welcome into the Engin community through building, performing and winning together as one big family.

What better platform than Rag to showcase your talent in dance and cheerleading, or your flair in designing and engineering? Or if you are simply looking to have fun and meet fun-loving, like-minded people, look no further. Don’t just witness our passion and spirit from the sidelines. We need YOU!!!

We are recruiting a team of performers, builders and planners

Float engineers and Costumes designers

- Sew and prepare Costumes for dancers and cheer leaders; decorate and design special effects for the float!

- Hands-on learning experience - Relevant Experience: Drama Costume Design, Festival Costume Making e.g. Halloween, Drama Stage Sets and Props making, Watch a lot of DIY Science experiment shows like Myth Busters, Ragging

Performers and Choreographers

-Join the Performing and Engineering Crew for actual Rag!

-Initial practices twice a week, Nearing Rag day 4-5 times a week

-Diverse Learning Experience: Ballet, Hip hop, Breaking, Cheer, DIY Building

-Relevant Experience: Ragging, Any Dance/Cheer Background, Drama Stage Sets and Props making, Home DIY experience
